Laura Payne is a yogini and advocate of Mindfulness for more than 25 years. A philosopher by academic training, she has incorporated this practice of meditation and mindfulness into her life and work as one of the UK’s leading consultants in communications strategy and training, change management and personal development. She is a visiting tutor in Mindfulness and Leadership at Praxis Centre, Cranfield School of Management..
With more than 30 years in the business, having run two companies, including a leading UK PR consultancy, she has advised and trained CEO’s and senior management around the world as well as government departments and international charities.
As well as business mentoring & counselling Laura acts as a life-coach and personal mentor, working with clients covering a range of issues. An integrative transpersonal counsellor and psychotherapist, with a practice in London and Berkshire, Laura runs regular personal development & spiritual development workshops & retreats, based on her own Mindfulness practice.
She has been a visiting tutor in Mindfulness and Leadership at The Praxis Centre,Cranfield School of Management and has trained as a mindfulness-based cognitive practitioner with Oxford University.
Mark Perrow is a mindfulness practitioner trained in the Oxford MBCT method. He heads our corporate retreat programme. He has worked in a leadership role at a major media organisation, specialising in developing digital and social content in tandem with broadcast news programmes and stories.
Mark’s background is in foreign news producing and management. He was a news producer in New Delhi and went on to work as Asia Bureau Chief based in Hong Kong and Beijing. He has also led teams working on breaking news in Jerusalem, West Africa and Washington DC. His key area of interest lies in managing teams in changing contexts and in high stress environments.
He is a student of Iyengar and Sivananda Yoga in India and the UK, and has taken part in a series of group and individual retreats in London and in some of the Middle East’s quietest deserts and brings that expertise to our client retreat programme.
Mindfulness means the awareness that emerges when we learn to pay attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally to things as they are.
